Who Can Apply? – Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the UPM Postdoctoral Scheme 2025, you must meet the following requirements:

Open to Malaysian and International candidates
Hold a PhD degree (obtained within the last 10 years) in any relevant field
Be in good physical and mental health
Must have published in a CIJ-indexed journal as First Author

Depending on when your PhD was awarded:

PhD obtained within 5 years:

Minimum 5 publications, at least 3 in Q1/Q2 journals (Science & Tech) OR
3 publications with at least 1 in Q1/Q2 (Social Sciences/Humanities)

PhD obtained within 10 years:

Minimum 10 publications, at least 6 in Q1/Q2 journals (Science & Tech) OR
