Eligibility Criteria

Interested Applicants for the Japanese Government MEXT Scholarships 2021 Embassy Recommended for their higher studies, must fulfill the following eligibility criteria before application;

  • Students should be International Students (From Asia, Pacific, North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Middle East and Africa)
  • Undergraduate Degrees: Students must have at least higher secondary School education (12-year education) or equivalent at the time of applications.
  • Master Degrees: Applicants must have first class Bachelor (16 Year) degree/transcript or equivalent at the time of master degree applications
  • PhD Degrees: Students must have the bachelor and master (total 18 year) degree/transcripts or equivalent for the PhD degree applications.
  • Age Limit: Must have been born in or after 2 April 1985
  • Students should be research-oriented
  • Should have the research interest in your own fields
  • Applicants must be in good physical and medical health
  • Language Requirement: There is no Language Requirement it means you don’t need to be worried about Language Proficiency Requirement and you can apply without any language proof. But if you have any English language Proof or Japanese Language Proof you can use that with your applications.

Sir, I am from India. I am in my Final year of B.tech. We have lockdown in our country and the last semester exams are still pending. So transcript or degree is not available with us. Will Hopw certificate work? And also during lockdown how do we get our documents like Hope certificate, language proficiency certificate, recommendation letter etc. All the educational institutions are almost shut. Could you please suggest any idea.

    yes on hope certificates, you can get it through online (email) institutions will work. and Indian embassy has not announced yet so might be they will announce later when the situation becomes good

Sir I want to know that mext government related two advertisement are given. Only undergraduate and bachelor.master PhD embassy recommend. These are two different scholarships.
