United Nation University, Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) is pleased to accept the applications from International students from all developing countries to enroll in Master and PhD programs under the Scheme of Fully Funded Scholarships with monthly Stipend. Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (IAS) is research oriented and leading university of research in Japan. The aim of this scholarships or funding to support the Master and PhD Programs in the sustainability Science to produce the researcher and scholars who will play their positive role in the fields of Sustainability science or world. Purpose of this programs is to seek the innovative and creative approach in the direction of sustainability and promoting the better understanding of the global changes and to find out the positive and acceptable solutions with the help of their practical knowledge and research advancement. This program will also promote the world-wide global environment changes reasons, future aspects, solutions and innovative approach for the sustainable environment.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants who are interested Master and PhD degree in Sustainability must meet the following requirements

  • All nationalities can apply or Students from developing Countries
  • Student should have the strong interest in the sustainability
  • Should have the knowledge of global changes and be able to understand and analyze
  • Students should be committed to his goals and interest
  • For the master’s degree Application Student should have the Bachelor degree or transcript with 3.5 CGPA put of 4.
  • Must have the master’s degree or Transcript with 3.5 CGPA out of 4 in the related field of Sustainability studies for PhD Applications
  • Should have at least the 2 years of working experience of research ( Only for PhD Aspirants)

Language Requirement:

Applicants need to submit the English Proficiency proof with the following criteria

  • Non-Native: Will submit the English Proficiency certificate (IELTS, TOFEL..etc)

Exemption or English Proficiency

  • Exemption will be given to those who are Native English Peaker
  • who got their degree from English Speaking Countries
  • and Those who got their degree from such Institution where medium of Instruction was English (English Proficiency letter)
