Eligibility Criteria

Interested applicants for PhD Scholarship 2021 or MS leading to PhD Scholarships 2021 to study in Switzerland at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research with FMI International PhD Program 2021 must fulfill the following eligibility criteria

In addition , students participate in the annual meeting of the FMI and are encouraged to participate in international conferences in order to present projects and expand their networks.

Mentoring: At FMI, mentoring is taken seriously. PhD students are mentored by their supervisor (group leader) and members of their thesis advisory committee during their PhD; initial supervision / collaboration with more senior students or postdocs in their laboratories may also be given if necessary.

Support: The PhD Program Administrator (administrative management), the PhD Members (promotion of student problems at the Institute) and the Dean of Students (liaison with the University of Basel and confidential advice) provide assistance to PhD students.
