Eligibility Criteria

Interested applicants to study in Qatar Scholarships at Doha Institute of Graduate Studies for master studies in Social Sciences and Humanities courses, must fulfill the following eligibility criteria;

• Students from Qatar and outside of Qatar can apply (International Students)
• The applicant must have obtained a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent (regular) and obtain one of the minimum grades mentioned in the following table of grades.
• The student must have obtained a bachelor’s degree during the last five year, and this condition does not apply to applicants to the programs of journalism, conflict management, humanitarian work, critical security studies, social psychology, clinical psychology, social work, and human rights
• Final year students can also apply
• A priority in the admission program history for holders of bachelor’s degrees in only the following disciplines: history, Political science, Anthropology, and Sociology.
• Priority in admission to the social work program for those who have professional or voluntary experience of no less than two years after completing their university studies.
• The applicant for the clinical psychology program must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the major in psychology.
• Language Requirement:  The applicant must be able to study and academic research in the Arabic language while having knowledge of English.

• It is not permissible for any student to combine between the institute’s scholarships and any other scholarship, whatever its source
• Only students who have good academic standing continue to benefit from the institute’s scholarships. The institute has the right, according to procedures it determines, to withdraw scholarships from students who violate this condition

• The Admission Department sends the online scholarship application form link to all accepted students and the scholarship application includes fields to be filled out; Such as: the student’s personal data, the monthly income and family spending data, with attaching the supporting documents to the student’s data.
• Students are given an opportunity to fill out the application with the required data and attach the required documents
• The Admission and Scholarships Committee is entrusted with considering applications for grants, and taking into account the student’s material need for the scholarship
